Event info
| IMPORTANT: If you plan to attend this event, we ask that you complete our registration form. The Lansing Makers Network requires that all visitors fill out their mandatory waiver before entering their makerspace. This waiver is included in the registration form, so please make sure to fill it out. |
Join us on Saturday, March 14th for the Lansing Area Vintage Computer Club's first ever public meet! The meet will include several presenters with interactive displays containing vintage computing hardware, opportunities to connect with other computing enthusiasts from mid-Michigan, an informational table where you can learn about the group, and much more! The event will last for 6 hours, opening to the public at 11:00AM, and visitors can come and go as they please. This event is entirely free to the public and always will be.
Parking
Parking will be available on both sides of the building. The far (south) side of the building may have more space available.
Free pile
We will have a very small designated "free pile" area at the event. Guests may bring computing-related electronics for donation and drop them off here, with some stipulations:
- No printers, CRTs, non-computing-related electronics, or ewaste.
- Items must have some potential value for someone looking through the pile
- You MUST take your unsold items with you at the end of the day!
- If any unsold items are left after the event, they will be scrapped or taken as donations to the group! (WE ARE NOT YOUR EWASTE DUMP, THOUGH! DON'T LEAVE YOUR STUFF!)
|
Vendors
We do not yet allow tables for vendors. Vendors may sell their own products if strictly related to their display, but it must not be the focal point of the display. Guests who want to buy/sell/trade with one another must organize transactions themselves. No other members of the group, the group as a whole, nor the Lansing Makers Network are responsible for transactions between group members.
